
R&E Supply serves HVACR repair professionals, independent contractors, and business owners with parts, tools, and supplies across multiple Arkansas locations.

Their eight stores attract a diverse mix of business owners and technicians with different needs, buying cycles, and levels of decision-making power.

R&E wanted to communicate with all of the customers that walk into and purchase from their stores. They had no way to identify and segment owners, employees, and freelance contractors for different messaging strategies.
Unbound needed to provide a simple in-store solution for R&E to send relevant messages, promote events, and tailor offers to the right people. This required a fast system that customers would actually interact with.
Unbound designed a digital kiosk that asks customers a short series of clear, quick questions.

We created a short question workflow that captures only what R&E truly needs. This enhanced user experience and interaction, allowing us to make sign-ups fast and frictionless for workers who are in a hurry.
Using the kiosk as a physical touchpoint ensured that every in-store customer could be reached. The design matches R&E’s brand system, using empowering messaging and bold CTAs throughout the kiosk loops and UI screens.
From the sign-ups, R&E can send tailored messaging through different marketing materials based on customer needs, responsibilities, and buying habits. This system also gives R&E clarity about which store each customer visits most often, making location-specific promotions, events, and product announcements possible.
1,000+ hard-to-reach trade workers were categorized and signed up through the kiosk system. R&E now has a segmented customer database, the ability to target messaging by role and store, and a direct communication channel to their most important buyers. The kiosk became the foundation for future marketing campaigns, community engagement, and store-specific promotions.
