Bumble Roofing of Greater Kansas City operates under a national franchise system, which meant their website reflected the brand, not the Kansas City market.

Unbound built a local SEO strategy from the ground up: auditing every page, rewriting content to target Kansas City searches, building 20+ location pages, and developing an internal link structure that gave Google reason to trust the site.

Every major search metric in the first six months doubled or better in the next six months.

Who Bumble Roofing of Greater Kansas City Is

Bumble Roofing of Greater Kansas City is a roofing contractor that specializes in roof replacement, roof repair, and storm damage services across more than 20 communities in the metro area. As a franchise location, they share a brand with other Bumble markets, but their customers, competition, and growth opportunities are entirely local. Their website needed to do more than look polished. It needed to rank for the searches homeowners actually use when they need roofing help.

Our Challenge

The franchise model created a structural problem: their website mirrored the national template with little to distinguish the Kansas City location from any other Bumble market, making local search rankings difficult to earn.

The site also lacked clear page-to-keyword alignment. Important services and local search opportunities existed, but the structure wasn't giving Google clear signals about which pages should rank for which searches.

What We Delivered

Unbound delivered a full local SEO overhaul: new body copy on every page, restructured headings, updated metadata, 20+ new location pages for Bumble's service areas, site-wide internal linking, unique schema markup, and brand awareness campaigns on Meta.

Brand awareness campaigns on Meta and Google ran alongside the organic work, keeping Bumble visible to Kansas City homeowners at every stage of the decision. From general roof education to storm damage urgency, the ads were built to complement the SEO foundation, capturing attention at the top of the funnel and moving it toward Bumble's Instant Quote Tool through a dedicated landing page.

How We Did It

We started with a deep page-level audit in Google Search Console before making any changes. From there, SEMrush and competitive SERP analysis shaped a keyword strategy for each page. We wanted to incorporate terms Bumble was already ranking for and target new opportunities competitors were capturing. Pages were prioritized by importance: core services first, then supporting pages.

Location pages were a significant expansion. Rather than listing service areas as plain text, we built a dedicated page for the communities Bumble serves, each with unique copy referencing local landmarks, interlinked back to core service pages throughout.

We ran 30-, 60-, and 90-day review cycles to evaluate performance and adjust. Alongside the organic work, we ran brand awareness campaigns across Greater Kansas City and built a Facebook campaign around Bumble's instant quote tool with a dedicated landing page designed to move users directly into it.

What This Meant for Bumble

Bumble's Kansas City location now has a website built for its market, not a franchise template with a city name swapped in. Their service pages speak to Kansas City customers, their location pages cover the neighborhoods those customers search from, and their site structure gives Google a clear picture of what each page is about. They also have a repeatable system: defined review cycles, a content framework that scales to new pages, and advertising tied to their most valuable conversion tool.

Marketing Results

Over the most recent six months compared to the prior six months, total clicks grew from 123 to 323, total impressions grew from 85,400 to 141,000, average CTR moved from 0.1% to 0.2%, and average ranking position improved from 40.8 to 22.1.

Non-branded roofing queries drove much of that impression growth. A sign that Google was increasingly viewing Bumble as a relevant result for Kansas City roofing searches beyond just its name.
